Brief Description: Can Hydra, a freshwater cnidarian polyp, exposed to glutathione can be conditioned to significantly increase their average intake of brine shrimp?
The freshwater cnidarian polyp, Hydra, serves as an ideal model to study various scientific phenomena in the lab. Unlike animals that are higher in the evolutionary tree, Hydra have a very simple nervous system, consisting of a nerve net that regulates behaviors such as feeding, contractions, and elongations. We asked, “can Hydra exposed to glutathione can be conditioned to significantly increase their average intake of brine shrimp?”
These junior Scientists also put considerable time into developing this website with tips and advice on culturing hydra: https://howtoloveyourhydra.wordpress.com/
