High School Program Description
BioBus creates immersive laboratory environments, including mobile labs and community labs, in which students join scientists for hands-on scientific exploration during in-school, after school, weekend, and summer programs as well as internships. Our mission is to help minority, female, and low-income pre-K through college students reach their full scientific potential by providing opportunities to discover, explore, and pursue science.

BioBus Junior Scientist Internship is a 12-month paid science research internship program where students with a passion for science exploration gain mentored research and teaching experience. During the first summer students participate in a summer camp boot camp to gain valuable scientific skills. Students utilize their training and gain teaching experience as camp counselors during the BioBus summer camp program. During the academic year Interns receive training and mentorship from Ph.D. scientists while developing their own independent projects using research-grade microscopes and equipment. They also gain further teaching and leadership experience by serving as co-instructors in Biobus weekend and summer programs. Interns will be paid by the hour.

Benefits:
Students paid by the hour
